In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Here are some tips to help us prepare for Ramadan:

How do you prepare for Ramadan? The companions of the Prophet (pbuh) used to prepare for Ramadan six months before. So, if we really want to make the best of this Ramadan, we'll have to prepare now! As we know, fasting is more than just avoiding food but also filthy talk and lust. Fasting motivates us to be aware of our actions, to be patient and to be morally responsible, thus increasing our taqwa (knowing God). Here are some ways we can improve in different aspects of our lives to benefit fully from Ramadan, a time when action is repetitive.

1. Quickly:

This month — Shabaan — is the first time to start fasting more or make a missed meal from last Ramadan.Usamah ibn Zayd (may Allah be ashamed of him) said: I said, 'Ah Messenger of Allah, I do not see you fasting in another month like you in Shabbani.'
It said,
'That is the month that people neglect, between Rajab and Ramadan, and it is the month when actions are lifted to the Lord of the worlds. I like to have my activities lifted when I fast. '”(As told by al-Nasaai)

The best way to prepare for a month-long fast is to start a regular fast, so that you can control your actions, your stomach and your desires.

Fast Monday and Thursday:

Abu Hurairah reported that most of the Prophet (pbuh) fasting will be on Monday and Thursday. Asked about this he said: “Human activities are presented to Allah every Monday and Thursday. Allah forgives all Muslims except those who are different. ”(Hasan)

Fast for White Days-13, 14, and 15 of each Islamic month:
Abu Tharr Al-Ghefari said: "The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, 'Ah Abu Dharr! When you fast three days a month, then fast on the 13th, 14th and 15th (these are called Al-Ayaam Al-Beedh, White days). '”(Sahih)

The Prophet said, “(Allah said), 'All the good deeds of the Son of man are done unto him without fasting; it is mine, and I will reward (the fasting person) with it. 'Indeed, the smell of a fasting man's mouth is better than Allah's than the smell of sandwiches. "(Bukhari)

2. Repeat The Quran:

Start now to think about the parts of the Quran to get closer to Allah and understand your responsibilities. Each time you read the Quran, you will uncover a number of insights and benefits for this world and the future.

Aishah (ra) recounted that the Prophet (pbuh) said: “Indeed he who repeats the Koran well, fluently and clearly, will be among the noble and humble angels. But the one who has a hard time, swallows or stumbles by its verses, then that task will double. ”(Muslim)

3. Follow the Sunnah and Pray for Other Prayers:

Learn more about the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and follow him by issuing his deed.
“Say, [Ah Muhammad], if you must love Allah, and follow me, Allah will love you and forgive your sins. And Allah Is Forgiving and Merciful. "(Qur'an 3:31)

4. Replace and Dua:

We all make mistakes, but alhamdulilah we can always repent.

The Prophet (pbuh) said: "All the children of Adam always make a mistake, but the best of those who always make a mistake are those who repent regularly." (Tirmidhi).

5. Be generous:

This world can only be a better place if we help one another. In return, Allah rewards us in both worlds.

Messenger (pbuh) said, "Allah helps His servant as long as His Helper helps others." (Muslim)

"Who can lend a good loan to Allah to repay him for a good reward?" (Quran 57:11)

The prophet also said: "Give generously without delay, for it is a recipe for disaster." (Al-Tirmidhi)

6. Develop Your Character:

Everyone can be a little kind and work on different aspects of their personality.

The Prophet (pbuh) used to say: "The best among you are those who have the best morals." (al-Bukhari)

7. Eat healthily and in moderation:

As we have less time to eat in Ramadan, we need to pay more attention to what we eat. Now is a good time to research the nutritional value of the foods we eat. While we are in a hurry, the food we eat before we start to rush or break our urgent need to provide high energy so that we can carry out our daily activities and increase our worship.

Neglect is also dangerous.
Ash-Shafi'i said: " I have not completed myself in 16 years because self-sufficiency makes the body difficult, removes pure consciousness, makes one sleepy and weakens the worship. "

To make the most of this sacred month, we need to be prepared spiritually, mentally, and physically. Insha'Allah if we always try to improve ourselves, then when we get to Ramadan, we will be able to easily move to the next spiritual level.
