How to Honor Your Parents
Different reasons to honor your parents:
Obligation:
Honoring your parents is your job. God commands you to respect your parents. No matter what religion you follow and what God you serve, they all teach you to respect your parents. Of the Ten Commandments, the first is to honor your parents. It says: "Honor your mother and your father, for they came and raised you." In Islamic religion, Allah asks you to honor your parents until the day of your death. This is your responsibility to do so. In Hinduism, god asks you to always remember your mother and father and not forget them for the rest of your life. Respect your parents for your religious beliefs.
Showing respect:
When you understand the importance of having parents and being grateful to them, it is the best way to show gratitude. They want nothing to do with you. All you can give them is respect and love. Those who really understand what it's like to have parents and how they make your world better than you think they will know that your parents have no selfish motives and love you unselfishly. They want nothing but your love and respect. Respect them this is the only way to thank them for everything.
You need them:
Don't live up to the absurd notion that your parents need you so they do everything you want. This is just a bad idea that many of you may have. When you are in your teens, the company you end up being the most influential to you. At some point in your life, you may think your parents can do this for you because they will really want you. But this is not true. The truth of life is that you'll really need them, that you can't do without them. You have to respect them for yourself. You have to realize the importance of having them and respect them, in the end, you need them.
Only your parents will always love you. No one in this world will love you more. Some may say they love you, you may think your friends love you, but they may be lying. But your mother and father love you from the bottom of their heart and that doesn't happen. Your love for parents is the best thing in the world and nothing is beyond their love. They always bless you and pray for your better future and never worry for themselves. They pray for their children because they love you. Respect their love because you are lucky to have them. Think of those without parents, and consider yourself the most successful person you can have in your life..
They will give you whatever you want:
From your childhood until today, your parents will provide you with everything you need. The toys you cry about, the clothes you want and the shoes you want in their color. As you get older, the books you want, the school bag you desire, the matching water bottle, are all given to you the minute you ask for it. Later, in your teenage years, they will bring you things even if those things don't make sense. They will buy you a gaming station even if they don't like it. They will offer you a bike even though they think it's not safe yet. You have to respect them for this. Respect them for wanting anything and have it soon.
Teach them effectively:
Children are always dear to their parents. If the child breaks the plate in anger, the mother will not ask her to leave the house. Understand that your parents will always teach you what is right. Even if you have a mistake somewhere, all they will do is ask you to repeat the same thing; or in the worst case, rebuke you. They do, because they know right from wrong, because they know the world more than you do. They are the ones that will teach you the difference between right and wrong. They will teach you that talking to strangers is wrong, but making friends is good. They teach you (right and wrong) that, at some point, you can decide for yourself everything in your life. Respect them for teaching you this.
It's always available to you:
Every parent in the world will always support their child, whatever. Throughout the good and bad times, the parents will stay by your side and provide everything they can. They do everything they can, for the sake of their children. Your friends may leave you, but your parents won't do this. They will always open their children's doors. When you fight a friend, you are no longer his friend; but if you fight with your father, he is still your father. Your mom and dad will never leave your side until you don't want to be away. They will always protect you from all possible dangers at every level they can. Honor your parents for being where you are while you are learning to walk and not letting you fall; while learning to cross a busy traffic lane; while sleeping alone in your dark room; while growing up.
They have grown you up:
Because of them:
